Lt. Cmdr. Korf Dorko (Ace Pilot)

Korf Dorko sat at the edge of the cold metal bench, his suction-cupped fingers drumming a rhythmic tattoo against his flight suit. The briefing room smelled of stale caf and ozone—the scent of an impending jump. While the Commander droned on about shield generator coordinates, Korf’s large, lidless eyes remained fixed on the holographic projection of the Star Destroyer’s docking bay. He didn’t need the tactical lecture. To a Rodian raised in the high-speed chases of the equatorial jungles, the math of a dogfight was instinct, not a slide deck. His antennae twitched, picking up the low hum of the base’s ventilation that most humans ignored....

“Dorko, you listening?” the Commander barked. Korf leaned forward, a jagged grin splitting his snout. “I’m just calculating the scrap value of those TIEs, sir.” The room erupted in nervous laughter, but Korf was already gone, mentally pulling 9G turns in the darkness of the Outer Rim.
